If you have perused the examples of the designs created by blogs about hosting, you already know that Lisa is an artistic genius. She really strives to make the blog design fit the theme of the blog and the personality of the writer. Here’s what you can’t tell by looking at pretty designs: these folks take customer service to a whole new level. And for those of you who may be lacking in even the most rudimentary understanding of the magic that makes a blog work (like me) this is the place you want to be. Quick and friendly responses to all my questions (and the patience and restraint to stifle what must have been the urge to tell me to go to eBay and buy a clue). Seriously, these are good folks who take a personal interest in meeting your needs and ensuring complete satisfaction. They will always leave you feeling like you have friends in the “biz”. That alone is worth the price of admission.

I started Insignificant Thoughts about 3 years ago with some Chistmas money. I figured my site would be something fun to do with my spare time. Well, my needs expanded beyond shared hosting on a blogging service to needing my own host and domain, so I did.

In three years I’ve had five hosts (this being the fifth) and this is the first time I’ve been truly happy.

My site flies open (rather than crawling open), emails are processed by the email servers immediately, and the bandwidth allotment and server space are perfect for my site. I maintain about 250,000 hits a month, and so far I’ve yet to even see a slowdown or crash which was characteristic of all my experiences with other companies.

If you want a hosting company you have to repeatedly harangue to get results, by all means look elsewhere.

Blogs-About hosting is hands down the best hosting company I have ever experienced. they go above and beyond with customer support. In January, I will have had wild-heart.net for 3 years. Before they started Blogs-About, I had been with 4 other hosts, one of them an ISP that I formerly worked for. Lisa at Blogs About Hosting has been so nice and all I had to do was give her my Blogger password and she did all the rest. I was so relieved. It was a perfect transaction for a non-techie like me. Quite inexpensive too. I was quite surprised shocked at how reasonable it is. (For those of you who didn’t key in on Hooks problem- his host dropped him without warning- and Lisa rescued him. ) Word Press is as easy as Blogger. More options and automatic trackbacks too.
